Learn broadly applicable and transferrable observational drawing skills through the means of animal drawing. Using sample drawings, photos, and taxidermy models, students will learn basic animal anatomy. This will be followed by a practical sequence for observing, recognizing, and representing on paper species-specific proportional shapes and distinguishing traits. Students will come away from this enjoyable and unusual workshop having gained not only animal knowledge, but also a toolkit of basic drawing skills. Live models will be used from the Sheboygan Humane Society which provide a unique experience to learn tips on how to draw animals in motion. Ages 12 and up! Saturday June 15, 2019 from 9am-12pm. $20 per student. Supplies included.
