Drawing & Painting July 21, 22, 23, 24
Students will explore a variety of drawing and painting techniques using materials like colored pencil, pastels, watercolor and acrylic paints. Guided by the instructor, campers will learn about color theory , composition, and different artistic styles while working on exciting projects inspired by nature, imagination, and well known artists. Each day includes hands-on activities, creative challenges, and plenty of time to experiment and play with new ideas.

Meet the Teacher

Liz Higgins

Liz Higgins has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Lakeland University and an Art Education and Adaptive Education teaching certifications from Silver Lake College. She was an elementary and high school art teacher in the Sheboygan Area School District prior to becoming the Education Coordinator at the Plymouth Arts Center. Her interests in nature and science have been a prominent theme in her artwork and photography. She plans to share this passion with her students by providing art experiences that are meaningful and beneficial to the understanding of art concepts and enjoyment of the arts.
