The Plymouth Arts Center presented a public, HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE while celebrating the fine art created by over 75 Member Artists. The opening reception for the 28th Annual Holiday Membership Exhibition was held Friday, December 1st from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The public was invited to attend. A brief awards ceremony was presented at 6:00 pm. Live holiday musical entertainment was presented by Mary Fellenz, piano, and Dan Ognavic, piano. Complimentary appetizers and desserts were served. Presenting sponsors for the Holiday Membership Show are: Sargento, Paul and Kathy Sartori, and Franz Backus. The show runs through Friday, January 12, 2024.
The original pieces entered represent a wide variety of media. Paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel and acrylic, photography, pen and ink, sculpture, jewelry, fiber, stoneware, clay, wood, and mixed media are included. Many of the pieces will be for sale. Consider purchasing original fine art as a holiday gift or as a keepsake piece for your home or office.
ROBERT HOOPMAN is the judge for this year’s Membership Show. Robert is a watercolor artist working in the Plymouth area since 2002. He studied art and architecture at Iowa State University, specializing in architectural design and oil painting, and spent the majority of his career practicing as an architect in Boston, Massachusetts. A member of the Wisconsin Watercolor Society, he has exhibited widely in Wisconsin and has his work in private and corporate collections in Wisconsin, Arizona, California, and Massachusetts.

The Plymouth Arts Center invites the community to slow down and savor the moment with a brand-new monthly event, Two Albums, Two Cocktails, launching on Wednesday, February 18, from 4 to 6pm and continuing on the third Wednesday of every month. This unique listening experience pairs two iconic, classic albums with two expertly crafted cocktails, creating the perfect midweek escape. Guests are encouraged to simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the music as it was meant to be heard—without interruptions.

Friday, March 27th, 6:30 PM, Tickets $5 Students, $10 Adults. Plymouth native, Annika Nelson, a student at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, will present a special senior recital as she prepares for graduation. This performance offers the greater Plymouth community an opportunity to experience the culmination of her undergraduate studies in classical guitar prior to her official graduation recital.
