About the Instructor—A Wisconsin native, Lori’s work expresses a sense of excitement and energy that comes from the intimacy of her surroundings. The honesty in her work is utmost in importance shown in her ability to capture the emotion of the moment, her approach unique to each work. Although mostly self taught her training includes UW-Sheboygan, workshops along with studio experience with Dan Gerhartz along with many other fine teachers. Recently her work has been juried into the 2019 National American Impressionist Exhibition at the historic Salmagundi Club in New York, NY. Beringer has won numerous awards including the Portraiture Honorable Mention in the 22nd Juried National Oil Painters of America Exhibition, the bronze medal at the Eastern Regional Oil Painters of America and the Best of show in the 2011 Door Prize Portraiture. She competes in Plein Air events winning awards including the Best of Show 2017 Bluff Strokes, IA. Beringer is represented at Fine Line Designs Gallery, Ephraim and Wantoot Gallery, Mineral Point. Summer Art Camps for Grades 5-8 with instructor Liz Higgins. Class time is: 10:30 am to Noon. This is an art project based day camp where each student can explore the process of the art concept selected for each session, to create fun and imaginative masterpieces.
