Introduction to Digital Photography Workshop with Tom Ferguson, Saturday, January 28, 2023, 1:00-4:00 pm. Class fee is $30 per student. Class will be held in the PAC Classroom. Workshop attendees must have a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. The purpose of the workshop is to acquaint photographers with the basic functions of their digital cameras and to give them the confidence to take the camera out of automatic mode and allow them to utilize the camera to it’s fullest capability. Workshop attendees will learn the functions of shutter speed, aperture and ISO. Students will learn different types of digital image formats and why one format may be preferable to another. Attendees will experience using different lighting techniques (front, side and backlighting). Additionally, attendees will learn the basics of photographic composition and will practice shooting portraits and landscapes.
Tom Ferguson is an experienced portrait, landscape, event, and architectural photographer. He had a successful 27-year career at Eastman Kodak Company and held a variety of managerial and leadership positions at several high-tech imaging-oriented firms. He currently resides in Sheboygan county and is actively involved with the Sheboygan Visual Artists, where he is the Final Friday committee chair and the former President and Vice President of the organization. He enjoys donating his time to teach/demonstrate photography and fine art printing to students at the local high schools and colleges.

Summer Art Camps for Grades 5-8 with instructor Liz Higgins. Class time is: 10:30 am to Noon. This is an art project based day camp where each student can explore the process of the art concept selected for each session, to create fun and imaginative masterpieces.
