Tom Berger helps you take your favorite audition pieces, full songs in performance, and songs you just love to sing and deconstructs them to understand each piece on a fundamental level. More than an audition workshop, “Acting a Song” explores the minute parts of a song and deciphers what the lyrics, melody, and arrangement tell the performer about the writers’ intent. This leads the performer to a more fully developed and mature appreciation of the song and the character. Get one-on-one, interactive, and productive feedback in finding the character behind the song and making it your own. $30 per student, ages 14 & up! Students will be appropriately distanced at tables, be required to wear masks when not singing, and will receive more information on how to prepare via email a few days before class begins.
