(Veterans and active military personnel may register with the Plymouth Arts Center to receive a complimentary ticket. Please call early, as tickets for the general public go on sale October 1st.) Over 30 community performers will be sharing their time and talent to entertain and thank our vets. Four shows will be presented: Saturday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 6 at 2:30 p.m. (Note: Daylight Saving Time,) Saturday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 13, at 2:30 p.m.

ABOUT THE SHOW: “A Veterans Tribute Concert” is a brand-new musical tribute show to honor and show appreciation to our nation’s veterans for their service and for defending our freedom. The show will feature a variety of military and patriotic songs from our country’s 245-year history. Included in the program will be songs with historical narratives such as Ballad of the Green Berets, novelty songs, Snoopy and the Red Baron, U.S.O. and movie show tunes, Gee, I Wish I Were Back in the Army, patriotic tunes, Over There, songs of remembrance, Shores of Normandy, and many more! A traditional “Armed Forces Salute,” (when veterans of military branches stand for recognition,) will be presented during the show as well as a few sing-a-long numbers.

Veteran’s Day is described as a national holiday observed on Nov. 11. It honors veterans for their patriotism and service. In 1918, fighting between the Allied Nations and Germany ended at 11 a.m. Nov. 11, and the Treaty of Versailles was signed the following June, officially ending World War I.

The Veteran’s Tribute Concert is sponsored by Sargento, the Kohler Foundation, Paul and Kathy Sartori, and the Wisconsin Arts Board. Tickets are $20 per person and include a complimentary dessert. Please visit the Plymouth Arts Center at 520 E. Mill Street, downtown Plymouth, WI; call: (920) 892-8409; email: info@plymoutharts.org; or online: www.plymoutharts.org
