The Plymouth Arts Center proudly presents “A Night at the Opera,” a special recital showcasing Sherry Joseph, soprano, and Christopher Guy, tenor. The recital will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at 7:30 pm and is a fundraiser for the Fine Arts and Music Departments of Plymouth High School, Sheboygan Falls High School, and the Plymouth Arts Center. Pianist Emile Blasczyk will accompany the duo. Tickets for the recital are $25 in advance and $30 at the door and may be purchased by calling the Plymouth Arts Center 920.892.8409 or online at PlymouthArts.Org.
Sherry and Christopher recently performed together in the Veterans Tribute Concert directed by Julie Overby at the PAC in November 2022.
Sherry Joseph loves to perform when she is not practicing dentistry at Joseph & Joseph Dental or providing breathing therapy at Plymouth Sleep Solutions. She attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa as an undergraduate and toured both nationally and internationally with Nordic Choir of Luther College. Sherry then attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry before serving in the United States Air Force. Sherry enjoys singing in local productions, at church, with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Choir and with Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra Choir where she performed as both a choral member and as a soloist. In addition to performing, Sherry enjoys making pottery, golfing, playing piano, and spending time with her husband, Tim, and their five children, Noah, Connor, Ethan, Amara and Pria.
Christopher Guy is a Learning Strategist at Sheboygan Falls High School. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Silver Lake College, as well as a license in Special Education from eduCATE-WI. Currently, he is working toward a Masters of Science in Education-Literacy through the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. Besides teaching, Christopher utilizes his background in music as a guest vocalist and director. He is also a certified TOPSoccer coach, which combines his passion of working with children with disabilities with his love of soccer. Currently, he is also the Head Boys Varsity Soccer Coach at Sheboygan Falls High School. Christopher is happily married to his wife, Emily. They reside in Plymouth, WI with their sons, Jonah (3) and Miles (1).
The Plymouth Arts Center is a non-profit community arts organization celebrating its 30th membership year in 2023. It was founded to promote and nurture the visual and performing arts in all of Western Sheboygan County and beyond. The Arts Center hosts a vibrant schedule of events including…. fine art exhibitions in Gallery 110 North, live musical and theatrical performances, art classes for all, and special annual events, such as, the Cheese Capital Jazz & Blues Crawl for the Arts, Northern Moraine Spring Art Tour, Mill Street Live, Kids from Wisconsin, Paint the Towns in Fall Color, and the nationally acclaimed, “Sartori Big Cheese Drop!” The PAC serves as an unique backdrop for private parties, meetings and community events. New members are always welcome. Open Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm; Sat-Sun. Noon to 3pm; or by special appointment. Closed on Mondays and Holidays.

The Plymouth Arts Center invites the community to slow down and savor the moment with a brand-new monthly event, Two Albums, Two Cocktails, launching on Wednesday, February 18, from 4 to 6pm and continuing on the third Wednesday of every month. This unique listening experience pairs two iconic, classic albums with two expertly crafted cocktails, creating the perfect midweek escape. Guests are encouraged to simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the music as it was meant to be heard—without interruptions.

Friday, March 27th, 6:30 PM, Tickets $5 Students, $10 Adults. Plymouth native, Annika Nelson, a student at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, will present a special senior recital as she prepares for graduation. This performance offers the greater Plymouth community an opportunity to experience the culmination of her undergraduate studies in classical guitar prior to her official graduation recital.
