Just Say Cheese by Youth Theatre Company

Theatre, Youth

As a benefit to support the Plymouth Arts Center Capital Campaign, Youth Theatre Company is presenting “Just Say Cheese.” The original musical production features stories of the humble beginnings of the discovery of “Cheese” in ancient Greece, as well as, The People of Cheese -a- Town, Muffet’s Tuffet, and a bit of the origin of the Cheesehead. Written, conceived and directed by YTC artistic staff, Tim and Patty Talen, with materials researched and contributed by Riverview Middle School students under the guidance of teachers Kelly Schroeder and Diane Rosenbeck, and a cutting from the Cheesy Tragedy of “Romano and Jublilee Blue” created by the Plymouth High School Amph-Rats Acting Company, under the direction of Janet Newton, the show is a combination of talents contributed by young people in the Plymouth area. Also featured will be a classic assortment of cheesy bits, songs, and an original “Cheeze-it!” dance and rap. Musical composition was created by Luke Talen, keyboard, with other “Cheese” band members, Matt Overby, guitar, and Patrick Wade, violin. Student choreographer, Emily Schirmer; dance assistants, Ally McManus and Janelle Schirmer; and technical support from Pat Cadman round out the staff, with additional crew help from cast parents and friends. Community youth performers include: Amy Addy 15, Mikey Ambrowiek 14, Alayna Arnold 14, Michelle Arnold 12, Elsa Blad 10, Beth Brisson 16, Hannah Coppersmith 13, Toddianna Curtis 11, Lex Eggert 12, Austin Ernst 15, Lauren Flood 9, Rachel Francis 16, Genevieve Gannon 18, Jonathon Gideon 14, Emma Hapeman 12, Chandler Haun 15, Cole Henning 13, Haley Hughes 13, Carter Krzyzaniak 14, Andy Larson 16, Jordan Lentz 15, Grace Madigan 12, Julia Marshall 12, Emma Mckinch 12, Connor McManus 12, Ally McManus 18, Cammi Nicolaus 9, Megan Pfeifer 13, Jane Rabuck 9, Emma Roy 18, Isabel Roy 16, Alyssa Schall 16, Erica Schall 13, Emily Schirmer 16, Delaney Scudella 12, Anne Sedlacek 10, Rebecca Sowin 12, Olivia Strutz 10, Justice Tollefson 10, Katie Trakel 13, Jack Travis 18, Maria Travis 20, Amanda Triebensee 9, Rilee Willett 8, Christopher Wilson 20, and Randy Zeinemann 15.
