The Plymouth Arts Center is accepting applications for its 29th Annual Holiday Membership Fine Art Exhibit in Gallery 110 North. The exhibit is open to all current Plymouth Arts Center members and to those who wish to become a member. A variety of annual membership levels are available beginning with students ages 16+. Entry/prospectus for the exhibition must be postmarked or delivered to the PAC no later than October 18, 2024. Each member may submit one piece of original fine art which is their own concept and design not previously displayed in Gallery 110 North. The Fine Arts Committee will have the final word on appropriateness of the work. The exhibit is open to all two and three-dimensional fine art media including, but not limited to, pastel, painting, sculpture, graphite, drawing, photography, fiber, ceramics, metal, glass, wood, paper, jewelry, leather, printmaking, and mixed media.

Artist Bonnita Budysz is the judge for this year’s Membership Exhibition. The following awards will be presented at the opening reception: Best of Show, First through Third Place and Merit Awards. We also honor the memory of our dear friend of the Arts, Robert Heuel, with the presentation of the Robert Heuel, O.P.A. (Oil Painters of America,) Award to an artist who displays exceptional skill in his/her chosen path.

About the Judge: Bonnita’s highly acclaimed, internationally awarded paintings are widely exhibited and sought after by private and corporate collectors, fine galleries, and museums alike and consistently garner prestigious awards at the American Impressionist Society, Oil Painters of America, and the Pastel Society of the West Coast. International Artist Magazine, American Artist, Art of the West, Plein Air Magazine, and Wisconsin Trails chose to showcase her work and inspired way of going. As founder of the ecologically sensitive plein air painting group Water’s Edge Artists, and with the launch of the Water Dance Project, she continues to champion conservation issues. She shares her love of art by conducting popular workshops; by exhibiting locally, nationally and internationally, and by demonstrating and lecturing at prestigious learning institutions worldwide.

The Holiday Membership Exhibition will be on display beginning Friday, November 22th, however, be sure to mark your calendar for the festive holiday open house reception which will be held two weeks later on Friday, December 6th from 5pm to 7:30pm with an awards ceremony at 6pm. The reception is free and open to the public.. Enjoy live musical entertainment by the Malone/Sucherman Duo performing A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS plus other holiday favorites. Complimentary appetizers and desserts will be served along with a cash bar. The show runs through Friday, January 10th, 2025.

Presenting sponsors for the Holiday Membership Show are: Sargento, Paul Sartori Memorial Fund, and Franz Backus. Gallery 110 North is located in the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 E. Mill Street. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday 10AM to 4PM and Saturday and Sunday, 1-3PM. Closed on Mondays and Holidays. Admission to the gallery is always free. Guests are also invited to visit the Gift Shop featuring the artwork of PAC Members.

Plymouth native, Annika Nelson, a student at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, will present a special senior recital as she prepares for graduation. This performance offers the greater Plymouth community an opportunity to experience the culmination of her undergraduate studies in classical guitar prior to her official graduation recital.
