2025 Wisconsin Craft

Biennial Members’ Exhibition

5:00 to 7:30 pm

Art, All Ages

The Wisconsin Craft Biennial Members’ Exhibition opens at the Plymouth Arts Center on Friday, March 7, 2025. For over a century, Wisconsin Craft has worked to promote crafts persons who design and produce work of their own hands. The long-running Biennial Exhibition is an opportunity for Wisconsin Craft members to showcase their most innovative work in a juried gallery setting. This year’s exhibition in Gallery 110 North will highlight the juried work of over 65 member artists. The public is invited to meet the artists at the festive opening reception from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. A brief awards ceremony will be held at 6pm. Live musical entertainment will be presented by Dan Ognavic, piano. This exhibition is generously sponsored by Masters Gallery. WI Craft Biennial will be on display through April 25.

Wisconsin Craft was established in 1916 under the name of the Wisconsin Society of Applied Arts. The objectives of this statewide organization is to promote traditional and contemporary craft and the maker to enhance the cultural life of Wisconsin communities and beyond.

WI Craft shines a spotlight on Wisconsin’s rich craft heritage, ensuring the finest contemporary and traditional crafts are easily accessible to everyone. Through their efforts, they educate the public about the importance and value of crafts in today’s world.

WI Craft has made significant contributions to the development of 20th century American crafts. Numerous Wisconsin craft artists who were affiliated with the organization in its developing years and up through the present day have become nationally known. Today, members continue to enjoy the opportunities and support that the current organization WI Craft provides. Media represented include ceramics, fiber, enamel, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, photography, wood, sculpture, handmade paper, painting, and mixed media. The biennial exhibition continues, along with a variety of other special events held during the year, including the Morning Glory Fine Craft Fair and the new MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour.
