One day workshops, All Ages
Both wreath classes (sessions 1 & 2) will cover the basics of decorating an 18” grapevine wreath using winter themed embellishments and ribbon to create a piece of art attendees will be proud to display! Students will learn how to attach embellishments using both wire and glue. They will also learn the placement of embellishments needed to create an aesthetically pleasing wreath, along with bow making to add a little extra something to the wreath!
Session 2 will focus on using winter embellishments such as snowmen, penguins, sleds, jingle bells, and stars. Ribbon of all colors, sizes, and patterns will be available to incorporate into your masterpiece, as well as colored berries and pinecones! Your wreath will display your unique style as it’s your choice of materials! Feel free to bring your ideas as well, as Alexis will be able to help participants make their visions come true!
$45 per student, includes all supplies and glass of wine
About the Artist:
A Plymouth native, Alexis has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English education from Lakeland College and is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Higher Education Student Affairs from Cardinal Stritch University. Alexis has experience with all age levels as she currently works for the Sheboygan Area School District. Prior to her work as an educator in Sheboygan, Alexis was a high school English and Speech teacher in Campbellsport and Sheboygan Falls. When she is not teaching, her primary passion has been making wreaths of all different types. She currently works with grapevine, foam, and wire bases to ensure her customers always have options. Her favorite part of the process is creating custom wreaths based on pictures and conversations had with her customers. She loves to hunt for the right supplies to replicate the desired wreath and takes pride in knowing her wreaths are featured on houses around the county.

Summer Art Camps for Grades 5-8 with instructor Liz Higgins. Class time is: 10:30 am to Noon. This is an art project based day camp where each student can explore the process of the art concept selected for each session, to create fun and imaginative masterpieces.
