PLYMOUTH, WI — Homeschool families looking for a fun, creative and enriching addition to their children’s school experience are invited to discover the Plymouth Arts Center’s Homeschool Art Exploration Program, returning this fall with new opportunities for students in grades 1–12 to explore their creativity, learn new skills and gain confidence through hands-on art experiences.
Designed specifically for homeschooled students, the program welcomes both new and returning students of all artistic abilities. Students do not need previous art experience—just a willingness to explore, create and have fun! Each class introduces students to different art forms, techniques and ideas through engaging, hands-on projects. Depending on their age, students may explore drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media and other creative processes while learning about art history, notable artists and a variety of artistic styles and movements.
The program is taught by Liz Higgins, Education Coordinator at the Plymouth Arts Center, who brings both professional art and teaching experience to the classroom.
Lessons are designed to accommodate individual skill levels while encouraging personal expression and creativity. The goal is not simply to make a finished project, but to help students discover how artists think, experiment with materials, solve creative problems and develop their own unique artistic voice. The supportive studio environment gives students an opportunity to create alongside other homeschool students while building foundational art skills and confidence.
The Fall Homeschool Art Exploration Program meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of September, October, November and December at the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 E. Mill Street, Plymouth, WI.

- September: 3 & 17
- October: 1 & 15
- November: 5 & 19

Classes are divided by age group:
- Grades 1–5: 12:30–1:45 p.m.
- Grades 6–12: 2:00–3:30 p.m.
The fee is $20 per student, per class. Families enrolling two or more students and paying at the Plymouth Arts Center receive a 10% discount.
Pre-registration is required, and classes must be paid in advance.
Whether your child already loves to draw and paint or is simply curious about trying something new, the Plymouth Arts Center’s Homeschool Art Exploration Program offers a welcoming place to create, experiment, learn and discover what they can do.
New students are encouraged to join! Space is limited, so early registration is recommended.
