Unlock your child’s creativity with our Homeschool Art Exploration Program! Lessons designed for homeschooled students of all ages to discover and develop their artistic talents through a wide range of projects and mediums. From drawing and painting to sculpture and mixed media, students will explore various art forms. Learning essential techniques and concepts along the way. Students will be introduced to art history and the works of artists, gaining inspiration from different styles and movements. Lessons are tailored to accommodate individual skill levels, encouraging personal expression while building foundational art skills. This hands-on, interactive program fosters a love for art and creativity in a supportive environment, allowing students to express themselves while gaining confidence in their abilities and offers a fun and enriching experience that will enhance their homeschool curriculum. *Pre-registration required and classes paid in advance.

Meet the Teacher

Liz Higgins

About the teacher—Liz Higgins has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Lakeland University and an Art Education teaching certification from Silver Lake College. She taught elementary and high school art in the Sheboygan Area School District prior to becoming the Education Coordinator at the Plymouth Arts Center. Her passion for nature and science have been a significant influence on her artwork and photography. She is excited to share this enthusiasm with her students by offering art experiences that are both meaningful and enriching, enhancing their understanding of art concepts and their enjoyment of the arts.

Sat, Feb 21, $25 per painter. Paint an 11x14 canvas! Kids on Canvas guides young painters in creating beautiful art with ease. Our group classes provide a nurturing environment where kids explore their artistic talents, discovering the joy of expressing themselves through simple shapes & lines. Class time 45-60 minutes. All supplies included!
