Beginning Sculpture with Geoffrey Vitiello

Six Week Class.

Sundays, Jan. 5 - Feb. 9, 2020

1-4pm

Weekly Classes, Youth

Understanding sculpture is a foundational skill for virtually any artist. Whether you primarily draw, paint or work in three dimensions, studying sculpture will improve your work by leaps and bounds. Join sculptor and graphic artist Geoff Vitiello for an introduction to the discipline of sculpture that is open to all skill levels. This class will cover the basics of building an armature, layering on clay, and refining forms, as well as tips and tricks from a veteran of the art. Though students will be working in plasticine clay, this course will also provide a brief overview of different styles and materials, and will serve as a solid introduction to realizing your ideas in three dimensions. Ages 13+.
