Classes 2017

The Plymouth Arts Center offers a wide variety of ongoing classes for adults, teens and young children. These offerings vary from one day workshops, drop-in events, summer camps and weekly classes.
The teachers are accomplished artists and performers who can lead the beginner and experienced alike in an exploration of engaging art making and other creative pursuits. Sign-up for a class today :)

Novices and Artists alike will appreciate this unique opportunity to experience this day long series of life study open studio. Lori will be on hand to give gentle guidance as you paint and draw alongside her in this traditional academic exercise. Engage with your fellow artist as you achieve your creative goals. Participants are required to bring their art supply of choice.

Students will start with instructor lead projects to build a strong foundation to support their own unique voice.
Make it easy and sign-up for a session.
Fee: $80 Members [$90 Non-Member] per Session
or $20/Class.

Students  will take watercolor into new horizons when they overlay unhappy, boring, or unfinished, watercolor or acrylic work with various materials, such as collage materials, rice paper, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, crayons, wax candles.  Bring what you have and we can all share.  Other supplies to bring will be a sturdy substrate like illustration board, Masonite, or matt board. Elmer’s glue, acrylic medium, brushes, and scissors. 
Bring a bag lunch and your creativity! 
Date: May 6
Time: 9am to 3pm
Class Participant Fee: $55 Member/$65 Non-Member + $15 Material Fee.

Summer Camp: Painting on the Patio 2017

Workshop Description– Students will have the opportunity to paint from nature, just like the great masters
Claude Monet, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Vincent Van Gogh. There will be painting activities offered both inside
and outside in different locations each day, right on the grounds of the Plymouth Arts Center. In this class,
the beauty of nature will be the guide and children will have fun exploring their creativity using a variety of
paint media. Don’t wait, register today!
