First Press Release: The Plymouth Arts Center is delighted and proud to introduce a brand-new group of talented singers and dancers. This summer you are in for a treat as the Mill Street Guild brings you “Mill Street Live” a pop music series. Eight amazing shows are on our schedule featuring hits of the 70’s through today, plus select Broadway tunes. You’ll be dancing in the aisles as you celebrate summer and this fantastic series, which is appropriate for all ages.
Recently, the Guild performed a sneak preview of the series at a special appreciation evening hosted for corporate sponsors and PAC leaders. The Guild’s performance was a highlight of the evening along with the fabulous hors d’ oeuvres created by Chef Steven Hahn and our complimentary martini and wine bar.
The Mill Street Guild is directed by Katie Schmidt and Joe Horstmeier.
2009 Members of the Guild are:
Katie Schmidt of Sheboygan has choreographed and performed at Victorian Village as well as taught dance in the Sheboygan and Madison area. As a student, Katie danced in UW-Stevens Point’s show “Afterimages”. This past fall, she choreographed “High School Musical” for Kohler/Howards Grove High Schools. Katie also choreographed for the Madison Burlesque Dance Group and The Cherry Pop Tarts. This summer she will be teaching dance, working at Kacia and Urbane, and spending time with this amazing cast!
Joe Horstmeier of Random Lake plays, writes and performs original music and has directed two shows for the Random Lake High School. He has performed at UW-Sheboygan and in the Sheboygan Theatre Company in various shows including “Joseph and The Technicolor Dreamcoat”, and “ Tommy.” Joe has performed at the Random Lake Theatre and Victorian Village for two years.
Robert Peschke of Plymouth is enjoying his last year at Plymouth High School where he stays very active in the theater programs participating in the Fall Play and Musical. He has also participated in many Youth Theater Company productions over past summers. He plans to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering in the fall but hasn’t decided on a location yet. This is Rob’s first year doing a summer show and is thrilled to be in the Mill Street Guild with such a fantastic group of people.
Kelsey McManus of Plymouth is a senior at Plymouth High School and will be going to college for a double major in forensic science and music. Kelsey has performed in several Youth Theatre Company shows in Plymouth and was in Plymouth High School musical, “Once Upon a Mattress”. She is elated to be working with such a talented cast, and hopes you enjoy the performances.
Haley Kosup-Kennedy of Sheboygan cannot wait to share the hard work she has done alongside the Mill Street Guild. A native of Sheboygan, Haley has been performing in theater and dance for her whole life. She hopes you will come to see the performances this summer.
Carlee Schmitz is excited to be in the first ever Mill Street Guild Summer Production after performing and dancing for over eight years. Carlee feels blessed to have the opportunity to perform amongst such talented cast members. She would like to thank the Mill Street Guild and Plymouth Arts Center for sharing the passion of performing with the local community.
Conie Lee has been involved in theatre and dance for six years. She finds great joy in performing alongside her friends in the Mill Street Guild and is excited about this upcoming summer. Conie is currently a student at UW – Madison majoring in Finance and Economics. She hopes you all enjoy the show!
Eric Mrdjenvich of Howards Grove is a senior at Howards Grove High School and making the best out of it. He plans on attending St. Norbert College next year. Eric loves to sing and be around his friends. In his free time he golfs whenever possible and listens to music.
Trevor Seefeldt is thrilled to be performing alongside his friends in the Mill Street Guild. He has performed in shows around the community for multiple years now. He is currently studying Education at UW Milwaukee. Trevor hopes you’ll attend the shows this summer.
Nic Horstmeier of Random Lake is currently a junior studying Computer Science at Lakeland College, has participated in the performing arts since a young age starting in 1996 as a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz. He has been in many musicals put on by both Random Lake High School and the Random Lake Community Theatre. Last year Nic had the opportunity to perform in the Victorian Village show Heart of Rock n’ Roll. He looks forward to performing this summer and hopes that the Mill Street Guild will have a successful summer so the surrounding communities can benefit from the performing arts.
Elliot Quast of New Holstein has been involved in Victorian Village the last two summers and is excited for a fresh start on Mill Street Guild. He attended New Holstein High School and is currently in his second year at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, pursuing a degree in kinesiology. He hopes everyone enjoys the shows and continues to come back for more.

“Mill Street Live” will open at the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 E. Mill Street on Friday evening, June 19th, 2009 at 7:30pm. Seating is limited, so order your tickets early. Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Tickets are $12 adults; children 5-11 $1 for each year of their age, under 5 are free. Subsequent shows are scheduled for: Fridays, June 26, July 3, 10, 24; August 7, 21 & 29 and two Saturday shows, August 22 & 29.
CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF MILL STREET LIVE in 2018 The “Mill Street Live” Summer Musical Series is celebrating its tenth year of fantastic performances at the Plymouth Arts Center in downtown Plymouth, WI. In recognition of its 10th Anniversary and the PAC’s 25th Anniversary, this year’s show will be performed by alumni members of the Mill Street Guild with a fun theme of “Rock of Ages!” Mill Street Live is a high energy song and dance musical revue and is regarded as one of the most entertaining summer shows in the area. This show features music that spans six generations; truly a show for all ages to enjoy. Featured genres are Rock n’ roll (old and new,) Country, Jazz, Blues, and more.
The Mill Street Live show was established at the Plymouth Arts Center in 2009. The performers, ages 17 and older from the greater area, come together with a common goal of providing an exciting and highly energetic experience not only for the audience but for those in the show. Musical direction and choreography are organically produced within the group, as well as utilizing talents in art, costumes, staging, and general organization. Mill Street Guild’s main goals are to perform, engage, and excite audiences of all ages and backgrounds. The Plymouth Arts Center is delighted to be the home for the Mill Street Guild as we celebrate ten consecutive years of Mill Street Live.
In addition to the summer series, the group has presented several fundraising productions for the PAC…An Evening in Paris, Broadway Bound I & II; 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,(a theatre production;) Love is An Open Door; A Valentine’s Evening of Mill Street Live; Duets for the Arts; MSL Date Night & Dinner; and A Walk Down Lover’s Lane.
The 2018 Mill Street Live Creative Team Members are: Artistic Director, Jamie Jeanty of Sheboygan; Musical Director, Willie Gesch of Oostburg; Choreography by Tricia Roberts of Sheboygan, and Emily Shircel of White Fish Bay; Pat Smith, Manitowoc, is the Technical Director. Kirt Graves of Sheboygan is the photographer and Kristi Hasenstein of Sheboygan designed the poster.

The Holiday Membership Exhibition will be on display beginning Friday, November 22nd, however, be sure to mark your calendar for the festive holiday open house reception which will be held two weeks later on Friday, December 6th from 5pm to 7:30pm with an awards ceremony at 6pm.
